Strategic Planning: Community Control at the Center

This summer, BNCLT will be completing our new Strategic Plan. This results from a 10-month planning process led by consultants Beya Jiménez and Karleen Porcena. Beya and Karleen led staff, Board, residents, and community partners through focus group and 1:1 discussions, surveys, and retreats. The central theme for our Strategic Plan: community control. Every aspect of our work at BNCLT spins around an axis of “community control,” where the CLT residents and neighbors take part in the stewardship of their neighborhoods, and the governance of BNCLT. Community control, like so many other things in life, must be carefully cultivated and nurtured. 

We are dedicated to centralizing community control in a way that connects all aspects of our work, both in theory and practice.   

We look forward to sharing our new Strategic Plan with all of you this summer!
