Annual Appeal: 3 Values-Aligned Donation Pathways

As we wrap up 2025 and plan for 2026, we are launching our Annual Appeal with 3 extra-special ways to donate – and we hope you will join us whether you can give $5 or $50,000. Each of these strategies is unique and important to the success of our organization.

Become a Sustainer Member: Support our permanently affordable and community-controlled housing by making a long-term commitment to support our work and hold us accountable. There are two steps:

  • Step One: Sign up to give BNCLT a recurring donation, from $1/month to $100+/month.

  • Step Two: Sign up as BNCLT Member (General or Voting).

CITC: Give $1,000 or More and Get 50% Back: Community Investment Tax Credits (CITC) are part of a Massachusetts state program designed to encourage donations to organizations that are meeting key community development and housing goals. BNCLT receives annual awards of these credits because our work is recognized as vital to help meet these goals. BNCLT received additional credits this year! This is great way to help us build our well needed capacity. Before you make a donation, please contact Meridith Levy at mlevy@bnclt.org to confirm CITC credits are still available.

Invest in Our Permanent Loan Fund: Make a solidarity investment in our housing by contributing to our 10 year semi-permanent loan pilot. We are offering this impact investment opportunity at 0-2% interest over 10 years, with a 30 year amortizing schedule. Your investment will service 5 buildings (17 units) in Dorchester, which provide permanently affordable housing for our low-income residents. This is an exciting and needed new model in the lending market to help stabilize scattered site, community controlled housing, as directly supported by our community investors. Read our case for support and email mlevy@bnclt.org for questions and next steps.
