Happy Halloween on Park Street

On October 31st, we packed up our awesome Facility Steward Manager Derol Reid’s truck, and headed over to 381 Park Street to pass out candy. This is one of our favorite traditions, and this year our planning crew got particularly excited about it. We played Halloween songs from the past 70 years (thanks to our music buff Eric Boyd!), decked the fence out with spooky decorations, and led a craft station – painting rocks (thanks Cole Huang!), and printing a triple decker-themed Halloween print (thanks Olivia Golden!). And of course, we passed out lots and lots of candy.

For us, Halloween is the perfect holiday for people who love community controlled land and housing. What could be better than giving out free candy, lighting up a vacant lot, and being goofy together?
