Opportunity for Donor Advised Fund-Holders to Participate in BNCLT’s Semi-Permanent Loan Pilot

BNCLT continues to raise pledges and investments for the Semi-Permanent Loan Pilot, an investment tool for mission-aligned lenders to support the financial stabilization of our housing portfolio. And we are thrilled to announce a new opportunity for Donor Advised Fund participants:  CapShift has added the BNCLT Semi-Permanent Loan Pilot to its Research Engine! The way it works: an individual donor could request to participate in the recoverable grant program through their DAF for the BNCLT Semi Permanent Loan Pilot. The grant would be directed to BNCLT for the specified period (10 years), following the terms we hold in our investment promissory note. At the end of the 10-year term, the amount would be returned to the DAF in the donor's account.

If you work with a DAF and are interested in setting up a recoverable grant for the BNCLT Semi-Permanent Loan Pilot, here are the recommended steps:

  1. Find out if your DAF participates with CapShift, and if so, let them know you would be interested in making a recoverable grant through your DAF.

  2. If your DAF does not already participate with CapShift, let them know you would be interested in taking part in this recoverable grant opportunity through the DAF.

  3. If you or your philanthropic advisor has more questions about CapShift, you can reach them directly at: hello@capshift.com
